•  A tow bar - tow hitch - towing mount - tow plate - tug bar - are all terms relating to a mechanism attached to your motorcycle designed to tow another rolling unit behind the motorcycle.

Motorcycle trailer hitches have been used to haul everything imaginable. True, I know a local fellow who trailers his canoe behind his Honda Gold Wing - the canoe is 3 times as long as his motorcycle, but - It works. I know of several friends who tow a camping outfitted motorcycle trailer.
